7 of Our Favorite Celebrity Engagement Rings From 2015

Check out these 7 celebrity engagement rings from 2015, reblogged from the knot:

From stunning solitaires to one very regal sapphire, here are seven celebrity engagement rings we loved this year.
Rose gold and halos reigned as the two hottest celebrity engagement ring trends in 2015, but we also found that cushion-cut and solitaire diamonds won’t ever go out of style. Take a look at seven of our favorites below.

  1. 1. Emmy Rossum’s Round Solitaire Engagement Ring

Shameless star Emmy Rossum has a timeless, classic style, so it’s only fitting that her engagement ring is just as elegant. When her fiance, Sam Esmail, proposed in August, we couldn’t wait to see her sparkler: a round solitaire flanked by two baguettes on what looks like a platinum band. Gorgeous!

  2. 2. Alyssa Campanella’s Royal-Blue Sapphire Engagement Ring

Former Miss USA and model Alyssa Campanella isn’t just marrying royalty (her fiance, Torrance Coombs, plays Sebastian on CW’s Reign), but has a regal engagement ring too. Campanella’s gorgeous custom, royal-blue sapphire and diamond sparkler, designed by Peter Young of INTA Gems & Diamonds, was based on Princess Diana’s ring—with a twist.

“Torrance knows I’m a huge follower of royal history, and everyone knows the iconic ring that Prince Charles gave Princess Diana, which Prince William gave to Kate Middleton,” Campanella, who got engaged this summer, told The Knot. “But he wanted to create something slightly different with my own feel. When he proposed and I saw the ring, the first thought that came into my head was, ‘It’s so perfect.’ It’s just absolutely beautiful. He asked me a long time ago what gems I like, and I really like sapphires because they’re different than diamonds. I don’t own any jewelry—I don’t even have my ears pierced!—so I really wanted my engagement ring to stand out.”

  3. 3. Alison Brie’s Double Diamond Halo Engagement Ring

22 Jump Street actor Dave Franco did extremely well when he chose Community andMad Men actress Alison Brie’s engagement ring before proposing this summer. Brie’s dazzling sparkler is making us just a little envious, with a double diamond halo encircling a round-cut diamond, set on a rose gold band.

  4. 4. Julianne Hough’s Oval-Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

There are diamonds, and then there are diamonds—and Dancing With the Stars champJulianne Hough‘s falls into the latter category. When her fiance, NHL player Brooks Laich, proposed in August, he presented her with a breathtaking five-carat-plus, oval-cut diamond with a rose gold band, designed by jeweler to the stars Lorraine Schwartz.

The Dancing With the Stars champ wrote on her website to describe just how much she loves her diamond: “The ring itself makes me feel very feminine and takes my breath away every time I look down, which I can’t stop doing by the way. When it comes to taking it off, forget it. I’ll even wake up in the middle of the night to make sure it’s still there!”

  5. 5. Hannah Davis’s Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring

When Derek Jeter chooses an engagement ring, you know it’s going to have some serioussparkle. The New York Yankees legend proposed in October to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover girl Hannah Davis with an oversize solitaire diamond with a stunning pave band—a total home run.

  6. 6. Misty Copeland’s Cushion-Cut Diamond Engagement Ring

Misty Copeland, principal dancer in the American Ballet Theatre, is used to shining onstage—but after getting engaged to longtime love Olu Evans this summer, there’ll be just a little more sparkle in her step. Evans proposed with a beautiful cushion-cut sparkler surrounded by a halo and set on a pave band—classic and on trend.

  7. 7. Lady Gaga’s Heart-Shaped Diamond Engagement Ring

Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney knew he couldn’t propose to Lady Gaga with just any engagement ring—she’s Lady Gaga, after all!
