Check out this gold-studded country wedding, reblogged from the knot:
After living in five countries during their six years together, Kelsey Coleman (24 and a journalist) and Joey Coleman (26 and the head adventurer at Two Guys Adventures) were used to doing what they wanted, and their wedding was no exception. “When I was planning the wedding I would stress over what others would want, expect and not want,” Kelsey says. “One day Joey opened up and told me to not worry about others. It was our wedding, a party for us.” The couple’s “it’s my party” attitude translated to several details. Instead of a traditional wedding dress, Kelsey chose a stunning gold-beaded, sheath-style gown. Kelsey recalls worrying if the stunning dress would be too out-of-the-box, but her bridesmaids came the rescue, reminding her that she is not “like any other bride and shouldn’t look like one. Embrace it!” Kelsey and Joey also pulled inspiration from the fall season in Meeker, Colorado, filling the event with shades of brown, yellow and burgundy, as well as picking fresh wildflowers from Joey’s family’s home for the bouquets and centerpieces. Joey’s home state also holds special meaning for the couple, so they hosted the ceremony and reception there. “Our first Christmas together was spent in different states,” Kelsey says. “We couldn’t stay away from each other. So just after Christmas, Joey flew me to Colorado. We went snowmobiling around the property, and it felt like I was in a scene from an epic love story. Joey and I got married in that same field.”
