15 Gorgeously Unique Morganite Engagement Rings

Here are 15 Gorgeously Unique Morganite Engagement Rings, from Woman Getting Married,

Diamonds aren’t always a girl’s best friend — especially when it comes to engagement rings. Though they’re almost certainly the hallmark of traditional rings, a wide variety of diamond-alternatives are available today. This includes morganite, which is known for its light pink color.

According to Vox, morganite is “a variety of beryl, a clear mineral that forms in hexagonal crystals.” The stone dates back to 1910, when it was first discovered in Madagascar by George F. Kunz, Tiffany & Co.’s chief gemologist. Kunz also worked closely with J.P. Morgan, and because the banker collected gems, Kunz named the stone after him.

Today, morganite is one of the most popular non-diamond stones for engagement rings. The stone is also extremely affordable, with a single carat costing around $300 compared to $2,000 or more for a diamond, per Vox.
