Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco topped off an already-banner 2013 with the biggest celebration of her life: Her wedding to her tennis pro fiancé Ryan Sweeting.
Cuoco and Sweeting tied the knot in a fire-and-ice-themed wedding on New Year’s Eve at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, Calif. in front of about 150 guests. In keeping with her playful personality, Cuoco said “I do” in a custom petal pink Vera Wang wedding dress that echoed the rosy tones of Wang’s Fall 2014 runway collection. In a press release, Vera Wang described the creation as a strapless tulle ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, hand gathered details on the bodice and hand appliqué Chantilly lace accents. She reportedly changed into a shorter red dress after the romantic wedding ceremony.
Luckily for fans of Cuoco and weddings (of which we are both), she shared numerous photos from her big day on her Instagram account.
Along with the sweet and simple “Yep #thesweetings” that she captioned the above photo to break the news, she also posted images of them jokingly posing, having their first dance, and looking excited under a totally awesome upside-down chandelier wedding cake—check it out below!
The final wedding-day snapshot was utterly adorable, an image of the newlyweds leaving the reception with the caption, “My fairy-tail ending. Or beginning I should say! Photo cred @claudcraig.” We love how her wedding bouquet matches the pale pink color of her dress, but the best part of the picture is their palpable joy!

After getting engaged following a three-month courtship in September, the pair have openly celebrated their whirlwind romance. They let Ellen DeGeneres host a fake wedding on her talk show, hosted rollicking bachelor and bachelorette parties, and shared images from Cuoco’s bridal shower.
Cuoco herself admitted that the lightning-speed timing was appropriately unconventional. “I just knew immediately and it’s been magic,” she told Entertainment Tonight in October. “We have all the same family friends. We grew up with the same people, we just never met. So I kind of feel that I’ve known him my whole life. I know that it seems a little crazy on paper, but it’s what works for us.”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
