DIY Wedding Tutorial: Eye Shadow and Bright Matte Lips

Today we have a great DIY wedding tutorial for eye shadow and bright matte lips, from Wedding Thingz:

If you are looking to save money and will do your own makeup for the wedding day, I’ve got a great DIY tutorial for you. You can look gorgeous with iridescent white-pink eye shadow and bright matte lips! The information is from professional makeup artist, Jenessa Blaine. She has worked at many fashion shows and worked on many brides.

Here are the steps she provided.

DIY Makeup Tips

1. Prep the eyes with a primer. My favorite is Urban Decays Primer Potion in original. Just use fingers and blend in.
2. Choose a white pink color. My choice is MAC Phloof. Using  a brush ( MAC 239 Brush) pack on the shadow to the lids and up to the brow bone. You can leave the one shadow or add a muted beige/taupe color in the crease (MAC 217 Brush). I like to also add a little shimmer under the eyebrow for some lift to the eye (MAC Dazzlelight ). For a more dramatic look you could add a rich brown shade on the outer corner, use MAC Ground Brown & MAC 217 Brush.
3. For a matte lip, start with a lip primer (MAC Prep & Prime Lip). Find a matching liner in the color of your choice. You can use a nude shade for a little less drama. Usr NYX liner in Fuschia or Boots No 7 in Nude for softly lined lips and fill in with a brush (Bobbi Brown Lip Brush and NARS Schiap Matte Lipstick). Lip liner helps to keep the lipstick in place and makes a more desirable shape of the lips, if needed. Make sure to not over line. The lips can always be cleaned up around the edges with a Q-tip.
